Origin PC unveils EON17-X gaming notebook | Ubergizmo

Gamers if you?re in the market for a new gaming notebook, Origin PC has unveiled their latest desktop replacement gaming notebook, the EON17-X, which has apparently been designed for the serious gamer in mind looking for a notebook that could match, or even outperform, desktop equivalents.

Origin PC is offering gamers the choice to customize the EON17-X, starting with its processor which when maxed out features the Intel Core i7-3960X six-core chip with a 15MB cache clocked at 3.3GHz. It will also support turbo boosting up to 3.9GHz and will support up to 32GB of RAM. As far as graphics are concerned, the EON17-X will feature a series of NVIDIA graphic cards, such as the dual 2GB GDDR5 GeForce GTX 580M in SLi mode. Gamers will also be able to choose from a variety of storage options that include a combination of SSDs and regular hard drives with up to 3TB of capacity.

With its base model being priced at $2,818, expect to hit very wallet-unfriendly prices should you decide to max out all of its specs. The EON17-X will also weigh over 12 pounds and measures over 2? thick, so do not expect a very portable or light mobile solution if you plan to use it for work/school as well. For more information, pop on over to Origin PC?s website where you will also be able to customize the EON17-X to your specifications.
